Born in Madrid, currently based in in Miami (Florida).
Xabier Basterra is a resident artist at ArtCenter South Florida since May 2013. Xabier’s practice comprises painting, 3D and installation. 
Before he relocated to Miami in January 2013, Xabier was based in London, where he founded Block 336, one of the leading artist-run galleries in London. 
His work has been shown in a number of exhibitions in London and Amsterdam. Xabier studied at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Amsterdam and graduated in Fine Arts (painting) from City & Guilds of London Art School
